Fiji Airways A350 Business Class: How to Book It With Points

Updated 21 September 2026. Routes, award pricing and transfer partners were checked against current sources on this date. Award prices change often, so confirm the price on the booking site before you move any points.

Fiji Airways is one of the easier ways to fly lie-flat business class across the Pacific on points. It flies the Airbus A350-900 from the U.S. West Coast to its hub in Nadi, it has been a full oneworld member since March 2025, and its award seats can be booked with points you can build from mainstream credit cards. This guide covers where it flies, which programs book it, what it costs and how to find the seats.

Where Fiji Airways flies the A350 from North America

  • Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO) to Nadi (NAN). Between them these routes carry Fiji Airways’ 11 weekly U.S. flights.
  • Vancouver (YVR) to Nadi gets the A350 from 1 October 2026 to 30 January 2027, three times a week. Outside that window the route uses the older A330.
  • Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) is no longer served. Fiji Airways ended the route on 7 September 2026, so older guides that list Dallas are out of date.

The A350 business cabin has 33 reverse herringbone seats in a 1-2-1 layout, so every seat has direct aisle access and lies flat. From Nadi, Fiji Airways connects on to Australia, New Zealand and other Pacific islands.

Which points programs book Fiji Airways business class

Because Fiji Airways is in oneworld, any oneworld program that can see its award space can book it. For U.S.-based travelers, two programs matter most.

ProgramU.S. to Fiji, business, one-wayHow it prices
Alaska Atmos Rewards75,000 points has been available (September 2026)Partner awards are priced by total distance flown, including connections
American AAdvantageDynamic: around 80,000 miles on good dates, far more on busy onesDynamic pricing on Fiji Airways since late 2024; the old fixed 80,000-mile rate is gone
Other oneworld programs (British Airways, Qantas and others)VariesEach uses its own chart and fees; compare the total cost before transferring

Atmos Rewards is usually the place to start. When the 75,000-point price appears, it is one of the cheapest lie-flat crossings of the Pacific on points. Because Atmos prices partner awards by distance, continuing on to Australia or New Zealand costs more than the Fiji-only price, so price the full itinerary before you commit.

Check AAdvantage on the same dates. American moved Fiji Airways awards to dynamic pricing when Fiji Airways adopted AAdvantage as its own loyalty program. Prices now swing widely, from around the old 80,000-mile level on quiet dates to well over 200,000 miles on busy ones. It can occasionally beat Atmos, but never assume it will.

How to build the points

You do not need an airline credit card to book this flight. Two flexible currencies transfer directly:

  • Bilt Rewards to Atmos Rewards at 1:1. Useful if you already earn Bilt points on rent or mortgage payments.
  • Citi ThankYou points to AAdvantage at 1:1 from the Citi Strata Premier and Strata Elite. Citi’s no-annual-fee cards can also transfer, but at a lower ratio.

If you would rather earn the airline currency directly, the co-branded cards carry these annual fees: Atmos Rewards Ascent ($95) and Atmos Rewards Summit ($395) for Atmos points; Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select ($99 after the first year), Citi / AAdvantage Globe ($350) and Citi / AAdvantage Executive ($595) for AAdvantage miles. Welcome offers on these cards change regularly, so check the current offer on the issuer’s site rather than relying on figures quoted in older articles.

How to find the award seats

  • Search both programs. Atmos and AAdvantage can show different prices for the same seat, so check both before transferring points.
  • Set alerts. Saver space comes and goes. A tool such as Seats.aero can alert you when a seat opens on your dates.
  • Be flexible on the gateway. With Dallas gone, Los Angeles and San Francisco carry all U.S. flights, so checking both doubles your chances.
  • Transfer only once you have found the seat. Point transfers cannot be reversed, and award space can disappear while you wait.

What reviewers say about the flight

We have not reviewed this flight ourselves, so for the onboard experience we point you to people who have. The Points Guy’s February 2026 review singles out the service, with dishes brought from the galley restaurant-style rather than from trolleys. One Mile at a Time’s A350 business class review covers the seat and cabin in detail. Both are worth reading before you decide whether this is the flight for you.

Before you book

Confirm the current award price, taxes and fees in the booking program, and check that your route is still operated by the A350 on your travel dates. Routes, aircraft and award pricing have all changed on Fiji Airways in the last two years, and they will keep changing.
