MSC Cruises Unveils Exciting Innovations for Families This Summer

MSC Cruises is taking family vacations to the next level this summer with an expansion of its award-winning kids and family program. New entertainment options and services are set to create unforgettable experiences for guests of all ages, making MSC Cruises the ultimate choice for family fun on the high seas.

Starting this summer, families onboard MSC Cruises will have even more activities and services to choose from, including expanded hours for kids clubs, more family game shows, services for babies, and more.

Brand-New Activities and Services This Summer

Extended Services for Babies from Six Months and Up

  • New Offering: For the first time, MSC Cruises will offer a dedicated baby care service for babies as young as six months old. Previously, the service catered to children aged one year or older.
  • Partner: This service is offered in collaboration with Chicco®, ensuring all youth staff on board are trained to meet the needs of babies aged six months to two years.
  • Benefit: Parents can enjoy the ship, knowing their children are in safe hands, cared for by dedicated and highly trained staff.

Doremiland Open House and Party

  • Family Time: Parents who want to spend quality time with their kids in the kids club now have the opportunity to do so. Each day, a time slot will be reserved when all Doremiland areas are open.
  • Special Event: There will also be a big family party for parents and kids to play together once per cruise, providing an excellent bonding experience.

New MSC Original Family Game Shows

  • New Shows: Among the most popular activities for families are MSC original or branded game shows where all children are the main stars but can challenge their parents as well. This summer, MSC introduces two new family game shows:
    • “World Quest”: A geography-based trivia game that educates and entertains.
    • “Caravaggio”: A spy game show dedicated to art, blending fun with learning.
  • Popular Activities: These new shows join the lineup of successful games like “MasterChef at Sea Juniors,” “Break the Wall,” and “MSC Dance Crew.”

Extended Club Hours for Teenagers Ages 12-17

  • Club Hours: MSC Cruises has extended the club hours for young guests aged 12 to 17. The club will now be open every sea day from 10 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to midnight, and every port day from 3 pm to midnight.
  • Benefit: This ensures teenagers have even more fun during their cruise, with ample time to engage in various activities.

Guinness World Record Activities

  • New Ships: After successful trials, Guinness World Record activities will now be extended to more ships, including MSC World Europa, MSC Euribia, MSC Seascape, MSC Seashore, MSC Magnifica, MSC Divina, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Virtuosa, and MSC Grandiosa.
  • Family Fun: Families will have the chance to participate in record-breaking quiz shows, competing for prizes. Activities include identifying the tallest, the lowest, the biggest, or the strongest, making it a fun and educational experience.

MSC Foundation Day

  • Sustainability Activities: Families will now have the opportunity to take part in exclusive children’s activities carried out in collaboration with the MSC Foundation and its long-term partners. These activities, which include one hour dedicated to important environmental topics each day, will allow children to learn, create, and express themselves according to their interests.
  • Educational Focus: The program aims to educate children about sustainability initiatives, fostering environmental awareness from a young age.

  • Program: A dedicated program for kids to enjoy with a range of LEGO bricks and toys. Kids can express their creativity whenever and wherever they want.
  • Achievement: At the end of the LEGO EXPERIENCE ON BOARD, each child will receive a diploma certifying them as a Junior LEGO® Master Builder.

Break the Wall

  • Game Show: A new original game show for the whole family, where young guests stand in front of a giant technological wall that determines surprise tests to be performed on stage. The audience acts as the jury.

Cabin 12006 The Secret Game

  • Immersive Experience: An interactive game show inspired by the MSC original web series “Cabin 12006.” This immersive experience includes music, videos, TikTok trials, memory games, and dancing moments.

MSC Dance Crew

  • Competition: Developed in partnership with Fremantle, this competition sees teams of 10-17-year-olds battling to win the title of dance crew of the year.

MasterChef at Sea Juniors

  • Cooking Competition: Open to kids aged 5–12, bringing the popular MasterChef show to life on board. This stage cooking competition encourages children to take an interest in cooking and healthy eating, featuring recipes devised by Rukmini Iyer, a MasterChef contestant and author.
